About Me

My name is Katie Rich. I’m currently a graduate student at Michigan State University, studying educational technology. I’m particularly interested in the role of technology in the development of flexible mental models, how that role plays out in early mathematics and computer science education.

My current research focuses on how integration of computational thinking into teacher education and students’ school experiences might improve understanding of the ubiquitous roles of technology in the world.

Outside of my educational and professional pursuits, I love to travel, create crafts, and solve any sort of puzzle.
